Hudsons Bay Oil & Gas Gulfstream II

Model Description:

Medium:Resin Length (inches):19.5 Width (inches):16.5 Height (inches):10.0

This is a resin model of a Gulfstream II painted in the livery for the now defunct Hudsons Bay Oil and Gas company.  This vintage model has some scars, scrapes and scratches, giving it the character which comes with age.   The most noticable are the tips of the horizontal stabilizer and the scrape on the nose.   The base is made out of wood and is broken and missing a 2nd metal post which holds the model.   The base may not be the original base.

It is a one peice solid high quality resin model marked with the original Canadian ident C-FHBX.    This model does not show any manufactuer name, however it is beleived to be made in the late 1970’s.

This model would have sat in the offices of the the HBOG Pilot group or with company executives in downtown Calgary.   Because it is a custom model, it is considered rare and a historical artifact of the Calgary Oil Patch.

HBOG purchased C-FHBX as a pre-owned aircraft from the Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in December 1980.   When Dome Petroleum purchased the company in 1986, the aircraft was sold to the Sheraton Inns company.   The aircraft eventually changed hands several times until it was destroyed in June of 2007.
