Item Description:

This is a resin model of a Gulfstream II painted in the livery for the now defunct Hudsons Bay Oil and Gas company.  This vintage model has some scars, scrapes and scratches, giving it the character which comes with age.   The most noticable are the tips of the horizontal stabilizer and the scrape on the nose.

It is a one peice solid high quality resin model marked with the original Canadian ident C-FHBX.    This model does not show any manufactuer name, however it is beleived to be made by Precise models in the late 1970’s.  It is missing the original compass rose circular base.

Medium:Resin  Length (inches):19.5  Width (inches):16.5  Height (inches):10

This model would have sat in the offices of the the HBOG Pilot group or with company executives in downtown Calgary.   Because it is a custom model, it is considered rare and a historical artifact of the Calgary Oil Patch.

C-FHBX YVR

HBOG purchased C-FHBX as a pre-owned aircraft from the Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in December 1980.   When Dome Petroleum purchased the company in 1986, the aircraft was sold to the Sheraton Inns company.   The aircraft eventually changed hands several times until it was destroyed in June of 2007.
